Crossroads for Teens (CRFT) is a Hudson Strategic Group (HsG) career and college planning program which provides structured research planning activities for middle and high school students. CRFT’s structured research approach provides sponsors, community leaders, parents, and students the organization they require to change the career and educational trajectory of the students in our community.
Crossroads for Teens aligns career planning curriculum, college planning curriculum, and essay writing curriculum in workshops to identify career and college opportunities for AP/IB, honors, and on-level students. Its goal is to transfer research skill that equips students and parents with informed choices as they develop their career pathway, explore their educational options, and make the connection between career, school, and experience.
Ultimately, families and students will benefit from finding the right fit for their students academically, financially, and socially.
Using research-based career & college planning techniques, CRFT workshops guide students and their families in identifying how their passion, gifts, and talents qualify them for college, graduate, & career merit awards.
In the CCP Workshop students will use Foundation for Ensuring Access and Equity (FEAE) college planning exercises to organize themselves, plan their school year, create a profile and resume, create their brand, examine their social media, identify potential careers and college majors, develop a college list, plan for college boards (PSAT, SAT, ACT, ASVAB), prepare a scholarship hunt, and devise a plan for relevant summer activities.
The CCP Workshop requires approximately 25 hours to complete the self-directed exercises. CRFT facilitators will review the exercises in four-hour increments on 3 separate days. The cost for this workshop is $500.
